With effect from the beginning of this year, Kurt Deppert (55), Head of Business Development at TÜV SÜD Auto Service, has also taken over the position of Sales Director. In this function he has succeeded Stefan Herzog, who moves to Asia to assume new responsibilities on behalf of the company.

Kurt Deppert's career at TÜV SÜD has been marked by a series of executive positions. He was a member of the senior management team at TÜV SÜD Auto Plus from 2005, took over as Head of Marketing and Sales at TÜV SÜD Auto Partner from 2009, and has been responsible for business development at Division Auto Service since 2014. Before joining TÜV SÜD, Kurt Deppert held various management positions in companies including DEKRA, and worked as a consultant. Kurt Deppert comments on his new role thus: “I am delighted to accept this new responsibility. I see great opportunities for the continuous improvement and further development of our services in all automotive matters worldwide by fostering close interaction between business development and sales activities.“
The Mobility segment generated global revenue of around EUR 640 million in 2015, making it one of the biggest segments in the TÜV SÜD Group. Over recent years, TÜV SÜD has expanded its vehicle business across Germany by means of a franchise system. At international level, too, the segment shows strong growth. TÜV SÜD experts throughout the world are busy inspecting 15 million vehicles every year, and thus enable their customers to choose certainty and add value for people and the environment.
